OHS Induction Training for Construction Work

I could not get into a training course before September 1 2006. What should I do?

You should enrol in a WorkCover approved  ‘OHS General Induction for Construction Work’ training course as soon as possible.

Workcover has announced transition arrangements to enable construction workers with the old ‘C type green card’ to continue carrying out construction work, provided they have enrolled in a WorkCover approved construction induction training course delivered by a WorkCover accredited trainer.  Where a worker produces their old ‘C type green card’ and a ‘Confirmation of Course Enrolment Form’ they have met the requirements for undertaking construction work.

These transitional arrangements end on 1 December 2006.
