Noise Q10
Can I claim workers compensation for hearing loss as a result of work or industrial deafness?

Yes.

You must lodge a Workers Compensation claim form in the same way as you would for any other injury.   You may also be required to notify your employer before making a claim using the hearing loss injury notification form.
Because noise induced hearing loss may take place over many years and may involve a number of employers, there are certain requirements that must be satisfied when substantiating claims. (Refer to Workers Compensation and Workplace Injury Management FAQS or technical experts for more information.)
