Are there any rules about how noise is measured?
- Noise levels must be measured based on the Australian Standard (AS 1269.1:1998 Occupational Noise Management Part 1: Measurement and assessment of noise emission and exposure).
- Noise levels must be measured at the person’s ears or an equivalent position.
- Noise levels must not be measured based on any assumption that a person will be wearing hearing protection.
