Fire and explosion risks at wineries
This safety alert is published following the investigation of two fatalities that occurred following an explosion and subsequent fires at a winery in the Hunter Valley. While the causes of the incident are still being investigated, initial investigations indicate that welding work was being done at the time in the vicinity of a building where flammable liquids were stored.
