Review of the implementation of the proposed self-insurance licensing framework
We are conducting a review of our self-insurance licensing framework. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) was engaged to assist. On the basis of feedback arising from the 2015 round of consultation, PwC has developed a report. The report’s recommendations form the basis of our proposed licensing framework.
We would again like to hear the views of self-insurers and other stakeholders on the implementation of the proposed licensing framework and supervisory model.
Self-insurer security requirements are not included in this consultation as prudential requirements across all insurers will be reviewed as part of a separate financial and premiums supervision consultation to open soon.
We will publish a consultation summary paper in December 2016.
