Review of the self-insurance licensing framework

The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) is conducting a review of its self-insurance licensing framework and has engaged PricewaterhouseCoopers to assist. The review aims to identify and recommend potential regulatory reforms that will improve workers compensation outcomes by creating incentives for self-insurers while reducing regulatory burden.

SIRA has sought stakeholder comment on opportunities to improve key areas of the self-insurance licensing framework. Submissions were open from 12 November to 14 December 2015.
