Workers compensation insurance agents offer services to both employers and workers.

Services to employers 

These can include:

  • issue policies and Certificates of Currency
  • determine premiums – assess and calculate premiums, issue premium demands, and adjust premiums
  • assess compliance – conduct audits and advise WorkCover of non-compliance
  • collect premiums and premium related debts
  • provide employers with strategies to reduce their premiums.

Services to workers 

These can include:

  • review workplace injury notifications
  • assign a case manager who is responsible for the worker's injury management plan
  • manage third party service providers (eg physiotherapists) and ensure payment of appropriate benefits
  • conduct work capacity assessments.
