Training in occupational health and safety (OHS) and workers compensation are an important part of achieving a safe workplace and effective injury management.

 

OHS training and assessment

WorkCover facilitates a range of formal OHS training and assessment services including:

• becoming a trainer 
• finding a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), trainer or assessor 
• OHS construction induction training
• OHS consultation training
• RTO registration for general induction training and high risk work. 
• training and assessment for high risk work 

Employers  also have a responsibility to provide all workers (including casuals, labour hire, temps etc) with suitable training and supervision so they can do their job safely.

 

Workers compensation training and assessment

WorkCover facilitates a range of formal training and assessment services for people in the workers compensation field including:

• industry scholarship programs
• personal injury education training
• return to work coordinator training 
• training for treatment providers.
