WorkCover works in partnership with the NSW community and businesses to help them achieve safe workplaces, effective return to work and security for injured workers.

WorkCover can assist businesses by:

• providing information and advice on occupational health and safety (OHS)
• advising employers about effective return to work strategies for injured workers
• advising employers on their workers compensation obligations
• licensing defined premises, activities and the operation of hazardous equipment to Small and medium businesses play a vital role in NSW, employing many people and generating significant wealth for our economy.

To ensure that small to medium sized businesses receive the knowledge and assistance they need to make their workplaces safe, WorkCover has established the Business Assistance Unit (BAU) – a specialised group dedicated to supporting your business.

During Small Business September, WorkCover's Business Assistance Unit will be holding a series of workshops and one-on-one advisory sessions for small business owners and operators.

If you are a small business operator and have questions about your workplace safety, workers compensation or injury management, contact us to attend a workshop or for a one-on-one advisory session with a WorkCover business advisory officer to have your queries answered.

The 30 minute advisory sessions and workshops need to be pre-booked by calling 1800 624 097.
