Types of claims
If you suffer a work-related injury you may be able to claim compensation.
New guidelines for claiming workers compensation come into effect on 1 August 2016.
Permanent impairment claims
If an injured worker has a permanent impairment as a result of a work related injury or illness, the worker may be entitled to receive statutory permanent impairment compensation.
Psychological injury claims
A claim for psychological injury will only be accepted if there is medical evidence to prove a psychological or psychiatric disorder as a result of your employment.
Work break and journey claims
A worker may be able to make a claim for injuries incurred during work breaks and some journeys made in connection with their work.
Hearing impairment claims
A worker may be able to claim for the cost of reasonably necessary hearing aids and certain hearing tests.
