Personal injury management scholarship program
Our Personal injury management scholarship program is designed to encourage and support personnel working in the NSW workers compensation industry to undertake industry specific postgraduate studies.
The 2014 program eligibility will be limited to employees of insurance agents and WorkCover's Workers Compensation Insurance Division (WCID) only.
Each of the insurance agents and WCID groups will be invited to nominate one employee from their organisation / group to be considered for an available scholarship
Up to six scholarships are available for individuals wishing to undertake a Personal Injury and Education Foundation (PIEF) postgraduate qualification.
Scholarship recipients will be able to use the scholarship funds to undertake one of the following PIEF qualifications:
Note: These are postgraduate qualifications and students must meet certain prerequisites to be eligible for enrolment.
Each scholarship is worth a maximum of $15,000 for each year of approved study. Scholarship funds can be used by participants and / or their employer to claim reimbursement of:
- tuition fees
- residential study fees
- economy airfares to attend interstate residential study sessions.
Note: Scholarships funds cannot be used to claim incidental costs such as road travel, taxi fares, text books, tuition surcharges, attendance at graduate ceremonies, or wage / leave costs - such costs will need to be covered by the recipient or their employer / business unit.

There is no set format for nominations, at a minimum it should include a completed nomination cover sheet and a copy of the nominee's resume outlining their professional and academic experience.
